We are looking for full-time permanent qualified or experienced Bakers and Pastrychefs to assist in manufacturing and baking our family of products.
Reporting to the Department Supervisor, you will manufacture and bake a range of products, including freshly baked loaves, brioche, sourdough, cobs, baguettes, our 100% Aussie beef, chicken and mushroom pies, and cheese and bacon pies. Not only will you assist with savory products, but you will also help in producing sweet treats such as family apple pie, delicious slices, and biscuits.
About the Role
In your role as a Baker or Pastry Chef, your key responsibilities for the role include but are not limited to:
- Food Preparation and Processing – measuring, mixing and baking various bakery products;
- Machine Operation – operate and control manual, semi-automatic and automatic machines from mixers, dispensers and bread slicers;
- Assembly Line – operate and control lines with repetitive actions and moving parts such as loading in trays, bread crates etc. This involves lifting, carrying, pushing and pulling up to 20 kg.
- Cleaning – assist in cleaning food work areas, machinery, pumps, hoses, equipment and where required work within the wash bay.
About You
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in a factory or manufacturing role, preferably in Baking or food production;
- While not mandatory, an AQF qualification in Baking or a related food production qualification would be highly regarded;
- An understanding of Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Point (HACCP) standards;
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and maintain high standards of quality in work.
- Physically fit and capable of regular heavy lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling (maximum 25kg).

Qualified and/or experienced salary starting from $65,835.00 as per award rates and shift allowances and in line with experience.
