Responsibilities:
As a Sommelier, you will report directly to the Restaurant Manager and be a key player in managing operational costs while providing a welcoming presence for guests. You will be the go-to expert for wine selections, ensuring guests feel valued and catered to. Responsibilities include:
- Adhering to the sequence of service standards as outlined in the TEAM Coach manual.
- Providing guests with superior beverage knowledge to enhance their dining experience.
- Supporting the floor team in delivering efficient beverage service aligned with the restaurant's standards.
- Assisting in increasing spend per head by maximizing beverage sales and upselling premium products.
- Ensuring all beverages served meet the highest quality and presentation standards.
- Facilitating timely and effective communication of customer feedback to management.
- Assisting in stock control by accurately recording and minimizing beverage wastage.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of experience as a Sommelier in upscale restaurants or wine bars.
- A warm and composed approach to customer service.
- Availability to work a flexible hospitality roster, including nights, weekends.
- WSET II/III certification or equivalent knowledge of wine and spirits.
