Reporting to the Retail Business Development Lead – CI, the Retail Business Development Representative (RBDR) is essential for driving sales and building relationships. This role involves managing and qualifying leads from our digital channels, walk-ins, and phone inquiries, and proactively reaching out to potential and existing customers to generate sales leads for Cat® machinery and dealer solutions. Qualified leads are then handed over to the sales team, so your ability to uncover customer needs and understand their operating environment to match the correct CAT range of product is critical. Additionally, you will be responsible for the collating and submitting all WA local government tenders for the WA Construction Sales Team.
Ideally, you are tertiary trained in a relevant field, have a true passion for machinery, enjoy communicating with people to both understand and educate, need to be challenged, have great attention to detail, motivated and continually seeking to learn and see opportunity where others may see a roadblock.
Location: Reid Road Branch, Perth Airport
Roster: Monday – Friday, 8 hour/days (Permanent Full Time)
To be successful the following is required:
- Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Business, Marketing, or a related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise initiative, discretion, sound judgment, and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Advanced computer literacy skills, particularly with MS Office.
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, engineering drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- Strong technical language skills for writing routine reports, effective correspondence, and speaking over the phone.
- Proficiency in calculating figures and amounts such as averages, percentages, geometry, and statistics.
- Understanding of the basic dynamics of equipment operation and design, and product applications.
- Advanced attention to detail skills with the capability to prepare complex documentation.
- Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities to meet objectives.
- Ability to work successfully both within a team and independently.
- Full WA Driver’s Licence.
