Position: Diesel Mechanic (Bus & Coach)
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and scheduled servicing on a variety of buses and coaches.
- Work independently and as part of a team to ensure vehicles meet safety and operational standards.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Promote and adhere to Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) practices in the workplace.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of post-trade experience with a relevant Diesel Mechanic trade certificate.
- Proficiency in diagnosing and resolving electrical and hydraulic faults.
- Experience with Mercedes, Volvo, Scania, Iveco, or UD buses and coaches preferred.
- HR License preferred.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid Driver’s License.
Ideal Candidate:
We are seeking candidates who are Australian or New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents. However, our client is open to sponsoring International Applicants on the 482 (TSS) Visa if suitable local candidates are not available.
482 Visa Sponsorship Requirements:
- Recognized International Trade Qualification in Mechanics (e.g. Red Seal, City & Guilds, FETAC).
- Ability to pass a Cert III Trade Assessment (e.g. Vetassess) for visa purposes.
- IELTS / TOEFL / PTE English Test Certificate (Minimum 5.0 in all sections) or citizenship from the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada, or New Zealand , or show proof of your education being taught in English for 5 years at secondary or tertiary levels
- Financial ability to support your visa application and associated costs.
- Willingness to relocate to Australia as soon as the visa is approved.
