Job Description: We are seeking a talented and experienced Sous Chef with a passion for Pan Asian cuisine to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Pan Asian culinary traditions, exceptional cooking skills, and the ability to lead and inspire a kitchen team. As a Sous Chef, you will work closely with our Head Chef to create and execute a diverse menu that highlights the flavours of Asia with a modern take.
Sous Chef Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations and ensure the highest standards of food quality and presentation.
- Prepare and cook a variety of Pan Asian dishes, including but not limited to, Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Korean, Indonesian, Indian and Vietnamese cuisines.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring a cohesive and efficient team.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in menu development, including creating new dishes and seasonal specials.
- Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs.
- Ensure consistency in taste and presentation of all dishes served.
- Collaborate with the Head Chef and management team to provide an exceptional dining experience.
Sous Chef Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role, with a focus/passion on Pan Asian cuisine.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Creative and passionate about food with a keen eye for detail.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Chef De Partie Key Responsibilities:
