About the role:
The role will involve working as part of a multidisciplinary team in the assessment and treatment of patients with a variety of orthopaedic, neurological and medical conditions. Previous experience in Rehabilitation is highly desirable although new graduates may be considered.
Your main duties will include:
- Conduct assessments and formulate, implement and review interventional plans for patients with functional difficulties whether due to motor, sensory or cognitive impairments.
- Establish patient-centred goals, treatment plans and discharge plans in conjunction with the patient, team and significant others.
- Communicate effectively with the patient, team, and significant others and act as an advocate for patients and carers on relevant issues.
About you:
- Registered with AHPRA, and a recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy
- Demonstrated current skill and knowledge in the assessment, interpretation, implementation and evaluation of Occupational Therapy plans for rehabilitation patients
- Ability to function effectively in a multi-disciplinary team
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy
- Current Driver’s License
