About Our Team:
Our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) in Western Australia provides comprehensive mental health services to children and adolescents from birth to 18 years following a holistic and patient-centred approach. Children and families are referred to our health service by their GP, School, treating therapist or other community organisation. We provide recovery-focused programs and services in the community and in hospital settings.
Our Reform Team collaborates with stakeholders to deliver organisational transformation and improvement projects as well as system-wide programs. Our health program is on a transformative journey in alignment with the company's strategic plan, the Ministerial Taskforce into Public Mental Health Services for and organisational values. Our project team is focused on improving patient journey and experiences through the implementation of new models of care and ways of working. Effective project and change management are essential to support clinicians and front line staff.
About the Role:
As a Senior Project Officer, you will demonstrate your expertise in initiating, planning, delivering and evaluating projects, engaging and guiding teams through change.
Reporting to the Program Manager Reform, you will support service development and transformation of clinical, non-clinical support and administrative functions, including the establishment of new teams, implementation of new ways of working for existing teams, and site relocations.
You will collaborate and leverage the knowledge of stakeholders including leadership, clinical and non-clinical staff to deliver solutions that meet patient needs. Your ability to build and maintain strong relationships will be key in keeping stakeholders informed and actively engaged.
In addition, you will:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage service change, projects and initiatives to meet our goals and timelines.
- Provide advice to leadership to ensure projects are delivered successfully, and in line with quality and safety standards.
- Develop comprehensive business cases, project plans, implementation strategies, and systems for effective project management and assessment of project outcomes.
- Create accurate and succinct project reports at designated intervals, following the established governance framework.
- Monitor and report on risks and issues impacting project outcomes.
This position is based in Nedlands with some travel to Perth Children’s Hospital and community-based services to support teams and stakeholders.

If you have proven experience strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills, preferably in mental health or healthcare settings, and the ability to navigate and drive change in clinical and administrative functions then this is the role for you.
Familiarity with the Taskforce outcomes is an advantage.
