With over 2,500 active clients, we love to challenge ourselves by testing our limits at every corner. As our scope and volume of operation is growing exponentially by the day, we seek an energetic and enthusiastic member who will prove of being a missing piece in our team. Successful applicant will be under supervised role for first 3 months during which they are supposed to develop an understanding of our policy and procedure. During this period, applicant will be reporting directly to client manager for any query, assessment and feedback.
Primary Responsibilities includes but not limited to:
o Preparing financial statements and tax return for various entities such as individual, company, partnership, trust and self-managed superannuation fund
o Conducting financial investigations, preparing reports and advising on matters such as the purchase and sale of businesses, mergers, capital financing, suspected fraud, insolvency and taxation
o Liaising with various external bodies like Australian Taxation Office, ASIC, etc.
o Preparing month end or quarter end statements by examining preparing summary of income and expenditure for the period, liaising with client to ensure proper reporting and lodging with ATO
o Ensuring the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
o Providing financial and taxation advice on business structures, plans and operations
o Liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements
o introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
o Maintaining internal control systems
o Ensuring that the client is compliant in all aspect with respective external bodies
o Entertaining clients to ascertain their need, custom modify the service, provide suitable guidance and feedback
o Address various lodgement and dues with bodies like ATO and ASIC
o Other Ad Hoc responsibilities as advised by supervising accountant.
An ideal candidate will have the following:
- Australian citizen or permanent resident or valid work visa
- Masters degree in accounting or related field
- CA/CPA/IPA qualified or studying towards completion
- Proficient in professional communication (in English)
- Possesses a minimum of 1 years’ experience in Public Practice accounting
- Confident in Preparation of BAS and IAS and reporting
- Confident in Preparation of Financial Statement and Tax Return for Individual, Sole Trader, Companies, Trusts and Super Funds
- Ability to work under pressure and manage high volume of work load
- Experience in MYOB, Xero, QuickBooks, and BGL Simple Fund
