We are looking for a fulltime Chef de Partie to join our friendly team. You will also be required to have experience in a fast-paced commercial kitchen. To be considered for this position the applicant must have relevant qualifications and/or employment experience. The applicant must have sufficient training and experience to be able to work independently, run a busy section when required, and to rotate throughout the kitchen when required.
The successful applicant needs to be able to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends and public holidays.
The ideal candidate’s qualifications and experience:
- Ideally 3 years previous experience in a similar role.
- Strong leadership experience with an ability to inspire others.
- Humble and down to earth.
- Hard-working and adaptable.
- Highly organised and can maintain high consistency in service and prep.
- Can create calm and collaborative energy with the team.
- Occupational Health and Safety training skills, specifically a current First Aid Certificate.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certificate, as required by NSW law.
- Certificate in commercial cookery or kitchen management is a plus.
Duties & Tasks:
- Assist with overseeing team member management within the Production kitchen.
- Deliver high standard preparation and cooking for both a la carte and function dining.
- Assist with production schedules, rostering and food preparation at our club standard.
- Ensure strict food safety standards, preparation, presentation and cooking techniques are established and monitor according to food hygiene and safety standard.
- Effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the Production kitchen, and have basic knowledge of food cost, portion control, labour cost, productivity and wastage.
- Assist to supervise and manage aspects of the preparation of our product, while keeping with our standards of food quality and compliance.
Salary & Employment conditions:
Permanent position 38-45 hours per week, available between 11 am -10 pm Monday to Sunday. Commencing and finishing times will be flexible and depends on operational needs.
The position is full time Chef the Partie with commencing salary between $65,000-$69,500 per annum.
