We created a job site specifically for skilled migrant workers wanting to work in Australia. Search current job vacancies that offer sponsorship and apply to employers or recruiters directly. Alternatively, contact Visa Jobs and our team can connect you with our recruitment partners.
The Temporary Skill Shortage Visa, also known as the TSS or 482 Visa was created to help employers fill job vacancies with skilled overseas workers when they are unable to find suitable applicants from the local labour market.
This visa is a temporary visa that allows you and your family to live and work in Australia and will be granted for 1 to 4 years. In order for the visa to be granted, you must have an eligible employer willing to sponsor you. In addition to being nominated by an employer, there are a number of TSS visa requirements that must be met. Once the TSS/482 Visa is approved, the primary visa applicant will only be able to work for the employer who has nominated them.
The TSS/482 visa is for skilled migrants who want to live and work in Australia. This visa is only suitable for people who have the required level of skill and experience in specific occupations.
For the TSS/482 visa, only certain occupations can be sponsored and the occupation list is updated based on which occupations there is a shortage of skilled workers for. Each occupation listed belongs to an occupation list which is important as this will affect the price of the visa, how long it can be granted for, and if can lead on to certain Permanent Residency visas.
For every occupation, there are certain visa requirements you must prove that you meet, in order for you to be granted a TSS visa.Â
The TSS visa requirements include:
